@ bobby: I noticed that you put the needs of others before your own just like Jesus did when He died on the cross for you! I sense that the Lord is drawing you in closer to Him and wants you to get to know Him. Get a One Year Bible and read it each day asking God to speak to you and teach you His ways and to show you how much he loves you. Interpretation: In the marriage ceremony there is a reference to people staying together for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health. The Lord showed me a picture of a man walking a very narrow path up a mountain carrying a huge rock on his back instead of a light backpack. He was very tired but remembered how you had told him that Jesus carries all our burdens. As soon as he realized that the rock rolled off down a cliff into a riverbed below. He continued his journey with a light heart and was strengthened by the Lord. Love, Jane

I just wanted to separate my memories from him, and wasn't sure I was strong enough to do so. A friend, exactly your age, had almost given up on marriage, but followed God's lead to build a new ministry and amazingly one of its supporters fell in love with her & proposed! @ RCD: The words "Dishonesty, deceit, back-stabbing, cruel, vicious, unloving, prideful and controlling" came to my mind. I have the impression that you have been horribly hurt in church and don't ever want to attend one again. The introduction to the Message Bible compares the church to a hospital where all the members are being treated for illnesses. This helps us understand the flawed humans, including Pastors, who attend church. Just let the Holy Spirit and God's word teach you for now.

Hello Jane. My name is Ian and I have gone through the worst year of my entire life. It all started when my wife separated from me (said temporarily) and never came back in Oct2012. God moved me 5000km's away recently (June 30,2013)and I am completely heart broken, financially destroyed and its nearing the 1 year marker and am sad to think this miracle marriage is gonna end in divorce.

@ Ian: You are not divorced yet! Don't be too quick to give up. Have you examined yourself to see what you may have done to make her want to flee? Were you too controlling of her time, her friends, her church choices? When I first got married a friend told me "The first 9 years are the worst." Keep in touch with her. Try to communicate more. Ask her to be open with you, even to express her hurt and anger. Keep praying for her.

I absolutely love coordinating things and it is something that seems natural for me to do. My sister, her husband and his family are on a cruise right now and just posted a picture on Facebook of them "Jumping for Joy" in front of the ship as they were about to board. I've recently gotten brochures from two other cruise lines in the mail, one of them was for a Christian ministry cruise. I remember thinking how wonderful that would be. I live in Alaska and cruises are very popular here. Perhaps that would be a place to start and inquire with the cruise lines locally.

You do not need to find a marriage partner through an arranged marriage. You can marry for love. Approach some girls near your age in your church and get to know them, asking God for His anointing to choose the wife He has chosen. If there is none suitable in this church then go to another one.
